if u ever catch yourself begging someone for human decency, a response, time together, clarity, respect, some compassion and some kindness, then u need to take a step back and realize that youre begging someone for the bare minimum. sometimes people can’t reciprocate bcuz they can’t give u what they can’t give themselves. those who are at war with themselves can’t give you peace. those who betray themselves can’t give you loyalty. those who lie to themselves can’t give you honesty. its just the way it is. see them as they are not who you wish them to be.
